It’s Your Move Program

Resources - It's Your Move Program

Highlights from the It's Your Move Program at the TS National Conference:

Youth with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and associated disorders face a major gap in support during the critical stage between leaving school and entering the workforce. Amid this period of great upheaval, ominously known as a ‘transition cliff’, they are tasked with some of their toughest life challenges. Indeed, the sobering reality is that a high percentage of individuals with TS do not become employed full time.

IT’S YOUR MOVE is a nationwide, assessment-focused personal development program that helps enable youth with TS to identify their key challenges and target vital resources to address issues like self-awareness, life skills, self-advocacy, and employability.

The Youth Program at the 2012 TSFC National Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia was based on the principles of IYM and packed full of fun and adventure, allowing youth with TS/TS+ to meet and interact with their peers from across Canada. This spirit will be carried over into next year's National Conference in Mississauga, Ontario.
