Trek for Tourette 2012

March 25, 2012

Key Information

What:

An approximately five kilometre-long outdoor trek.

When:
2:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 25, 2012.

Where:
In communities across Canada. You can have your trek in a public park, on a walking trail or down a neighbourhood street, it’s all up to you!

How:
You can go as an individual, with a handful of good friends, as a family, or with your neighbours, coworkers and fellow students - your whole community. For a list of community treks, click here.

Why:
To raise much-needed funds to carry out the TS Foundation's mission of hope, to bring caring people together, to raise awareness, and to have fun! We chose March, a wintry month, so that the trek would be “as challenging as the lives of people affected by Tourette Syndrome, with weather as unpredictable as the disorder itself.”

Toques will be given to each trekker who raises $50 or more. Scarves (in addition to a toque) will be given to each trekker who raises $125 or more.

A Note On Teams
If donations are made to a team and not to a particular member of a team, that total amount may be divided among members at the team captain’s discretion in the case of toques (if it brings a team member’s total to $50) or scarves (if it brings a team member’s total to $125), but not in the case of the top national or top community fundraiser prizes.
